Cumberland
River
Fishing the
Cumberland River is a wonderful experience for both anglers of
trout and many other species of fish. The approximately 75 miles
of Cumberland tailwaters offer trophy yielding fish and state
records have been set for Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout and Lake
Trout.
Dale Hollow Lake
Resting on the
Kentucky/ Tennessee border, one of the most beautiful lakes in
the entire country, Dale Hollow Lake is a high quality fishing
lake. Dale Hollow claims prolific and widespread fishing for
record Small Mouth Bass, Large Mouth Bass, Rainbow and Lake
Trout, Muskellunge, Walleye, Sauger, and Black and White
Crappie.
Green River Lake
The fishing in
this relatively new lake in our region has blossomed and you can
reel in some great Muskellunge, Walleye, Crappie, and
Large and Small Mouth Bass from its pristine waters. Green
River boasts record size Flathead Catfish and record Freshwater
Drum. Green River Lake can provide some eyebrow raising catches.
Lake Cumberland
The vast, placid
waters of Lake Cumberland team with diversity and quality in
game fishing. The lake’s game fish population includes
record Striped Bass, tournament quality Walleye, Small and Large
Mouth Bass, Kentucky Bass, White and Black Crappie, record
Sauger, Bluegill, Rock Bass, and an abundance
of Channel Catfish.

widely known for some of the best fishing in the nation with five
species of bass, crappie, bluegill, muskellunge, catfish, trout,
walleye, and more. What you may not know is that 13 of
Kentucky’s state record fish have been caught in our region.
So get out your rod and reel and be prepared to land the “big
one!”
